Newfield Avenue, Hampshire
Counterbalance was commissioned to project manage the refurbishment of a two-bedroom detached bungalow in Farnborough, Hampshire, in 2022.

This project did not require planning permission but did involve several structural interventions to create a more open and fluid layout.
Counterbalance managed the entire build process, coordinating various trades, materials, and the budget. The interior renovations were completed at the end of 2023, with the garden and outbuildings scheduled for restoration in 2024.
Our Design
Approach
We reviewed the existing layout and made improvements to optimize the use of space and increase the property's value. This involved reconfiguring the internal layout to add an additional bedroom and en-suite.

The new design introduces a central hallway, enhancing the layout's efficiency and allowing for additional rooms. A larger master bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a new en-suite was created at the rear of the property, opening onto a beautiful south-facing garden. An additional bedroom was also added at the rear, with direct garden access. Additionally, the kitchen was relocated to enhance the kitchen/dining room experience.
